I don’t know whether this is intentional or not, but this car is a reference to Evangelion (rebuild) there Misato Katsuragi drove a Mazda Cosmo Sport, and this car looks too much like her, in Evangelion itself there is also the character Asuka. A clear reference came out + the car is also clear.
