Ryder Doesn’t Betray Fixed v1

Have you ever played the GTA San Andreas story mode and have you ever stopped to notice that Ryder’s betrayal is strange? On the other hand, some details of the story and dialogues suggest that Smoke was going to betray Grove Street. Well, this discussion is old and many theorize that the character was forced to betray because of disagreements between the voice actor (MC Eiht) and the team, so they cut the character in the middle of the story, this is a theory (more information: https://www.mixmods.com.br/2019/02/curiosidade-ryder-nao-seria-vilao/) and that’s what this mod does.

In this story mode, Ryder will not betray Grove Street and will die in the mission The Green Sabre. Changes were made to missions, dialogues and cutscenes to adapt the idea. In Photo Opportunity and Pier 69, Smoke appears in Ryder's place and is the only traitor in the gang. This version has a fix for 2 bugs that caused a crash and prevented the story from continuing. Here is information about the mod and the corrections made:

MOD DESCRIPTION:

Changes to Ryder:

Robbing Uncle Sam: Ryder doesn't mention that CJ doesn't know what's going on.

House Party: Ryder joins in to help.

The Green Sabre: Ryder doesn't appear in the betrayal cutscene, and dies during the shootout. (more information below)

Photo Opportunity: Ryder is replaced by Big Smoke, and the dialogue adapts.

Pier 69: Ryder is replaced by Big Smoke, and the dialogue adapts. Big Smoke runs away.

YAY-KA-BOOM BOOM: Removed the cutscene where CJ mourns Ryder's death.

Additional changes:

Big Smoke: Big Smoke has its Glendale right from the start, a few more lines of dialogue. rives his car to the graveyard in the first mission of the game, and new audio is played.

Tagging Up Turf: Sweet will drive more carefully.

Cleaning the Hood: Ryder will have a better A.I.

High Stakes: Ped models do not change mid-mission.

Wrong Side of the Tracks: Vagos health has been reduced from 500 to 350, to make the mission easier

Incompatible with saved games from the original story!

You need to start a New Game, as the mod changes the game’s story.

Improvements made by the MixMods team:

The mod originally weighed 400 MB, now it weighs only 2 MB! It also changed the “american.gxt”, thus replacing the entire translation. We edited it to .fxt, so only the necessary texts are changed, added the option to translate PT-BR, ES and PL and it is much easier to adapt to other languages. The MixMods download came with the files and an option to download the already edited “cuts.img” file, however, it was crashing in the mission Wear Flowers In Your Hair. That is why I included the already edited file with the mod.

The files that edit the cutscene of The Green Sabre where Smoke is alone are from Cleoude's mod:

CHANGES BY ME:

Wear Flowers In Your Hair: a crash occurred when using a “cuts.img” file compiled with a tool that was NOT Alci's IMG Editor, so a file already edited with Alci's IMG Editor was added and a warning for those who want to do it manually, crash fixed.

Ice Cold Killa: there was a bug in the mission where when CJ entered Jizzy's Pleasure Domes through the skylight, the mission script would not load and you would be prevented from continuing the mission. The script error in the mission was fixed, and now the mission will run normally.

IMPORTANT:

- All missions with changes and that had crashes/bugs reported were tested with the "Essential Pack" from MixMods ( https://www.mixmods.com.br/2019/06/sa-essentials-pack/ ), so I cannot guarantee that it will be compatible with other mods.

- This mod changes the "main.scm" and "script.img" files (ModLoader\Ryder Doesn't Betray\data\script) so it is incompatible with other mods that modify these files. It also changes some of the game's dialogues so that the story adapts to the mod's premise. If you have mods that change the same dialogues, conflicts may occur.

- I didn't test all the missions, only the ones that had changes and these two that had bugs that prevented the story from continuing. If you encounter any bugs/crashes in the mod, please let me know in the comments. I'm not a modder, just a player who wanted to play this mod and decided to fix these problems. Since I saw that other people had the same problems, I decided to share the fixed version so that everyone can play the mod. So, if you find any bugs/crashes related to the mod, please report them in the comments and I'll fix and update them as soon as possible.

- Other than that, nothing else has been changed. The mod is exactly as it was downloaded from MixMods. Only these bugs have been fixed. The credits for everyone are below:

Melhorias feitas pela equipe da MixMods:

O mod originalmente pesava 400 MB, agora pesa apenas 2 MB! Também alterou o “american.gxt”, substituindo assim toda a tradução. Editamos para .fxt, então apenas os textos necessários são alterados, adicionamos a opção de traduzir PT-BR, ES e PL e ficou muito mais fácil de adaptar para outros idiomas. O download do MixMods veio com os arquivos e uma opção para baixar o arquivo “cuts.img” já editado, porém, ele estava travando na missão Use Flores no Cabelo. Por isso incluí o arquivo já editado com o mod.
